This brief was set by JDO Raw, a branding agency in London, who challenged students across the country to build a unique water brand from scratch, with the aim of staying relevant into the future.

For four billion years, water has refused to evolve. We live in a society obsessed with pride and progress, and results are driving the ambitious youth of today. 2 finally brings an update to the product that has never been updated, making it mother nature’s worst nightmare.
With my chosen target audience being “sports socials”, I wanted to take advantage of modern society’s obsession with the next best thing, by creating a product that would be seen as the new version of water. The CBD-infusion in 2 would be a substitute for energy, to ensure the product is still technically water, but the CBD would help to eliminate performance stress and anxiety, allowing the user to workout more efficiently.

The result was an award-nominated concept, that felt like the most complete and well-rounded project I put together at university. Whether looking at it from an aesthetic, or a strategic point-of-view, I was very pleased with not only the outcome, but the amount I took from the process, and the knowledge I gained on brand building, and developing an idea and running with it.
The project was eventually nominated for the JDO RAW award in 2023, and although I didn't take home the title, the entire experience was a huge confidence booster early in my career.

We thought the design of 2 was really striking. The idea of partnering with a brand like Puregym was also very clever and really added to the depth your concept. Well done.
